JAN KÖCHERMANN. FRASSEK'S SPACE COLLECTOR
The now forgotten GDR particle physicist Hubertus M. Frassek believed in the existence of unimaginably small black holes. He dreamed of traveling through southern Germany in a mobile laboratory to prove his theories. Why southern Germany? Nobody knows anymore. Decades later, Jan Köchermann (*1967) brings this dream back to life. At the invitation of the Kunstverein Göppingen, he and Frassek's Raumsammler undertook this curious expedition, which has so far remained unfulfilled. As documentation and artist's book, the publication itself becomes part of the "rolling dream along the frontiers of science".
