SHORT INFO
The artist Jan Köchermann (*1967 in Lüdenscheid, lives in Hamburg) continuously works on various thresholds - between inside and outside, private and public, science and fiction, dystopia and utopia. The space created in each case becomes a stage and setting for stories. His work has been shown at the Staatliches Museum für Kunst und Design /Nürnberg; the Bundeskunsthalle /Bonn, Hamburger Kunsthalle, Kunsthalle Bratislava, Kunstsammlung NRW, K21 / Düsseldorf and the Nasjonalmuseet /Oslo, among others. Köchermann is represented in the Collection of Contemporary Art of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Hamburger Kunsthalle, among others. A monograph on Jan Köchermann was published by Kunstforum International in fall 2023. www.koechermann.com
