The fact that Inge Krause studied under Gotthard Graubner and Stanley Brouwn at the HfbK Hamburg - an unusual, even contradictory combination for many - becomes tangible in her works: Krause thinks of her paintings in strictly conceptual terms and uses color as a characteristic quality. In her work, which spans over thirty years, she repeatedly creates deliberately blurred surfaces in order to create a visual experience.
Inge Krause, born in Boizenburg in 1948, lives and works in Hamburg.
